How It Works

Operating Principle

Magnetic Field Generation: Electromagnetic coils generate a uniform magnetic field perpendicular to the flow direction.

Conductive Flow: The conductive liquid flows through the magnetic field, acting as a conductor.

Voltage Induction: A voltage is induced proportional to the flow velocity (Faraday's Law: E = B ร D ร V).

Signal Detection: Electrodes positioned on the pipe wall detect the induced voltage.

Signal Processing: The transmitter converts the voltage signal into standardized 4โ20mA or RS485 digital output.

Installation Guidelines
Critical Installation Requirements:
- Meter must remain completely full of liquid during operation
- Install with minimum 5D straight pipe upstream
- Install with minimum 3D straight pipe downstream
- Avoid installation near elbows, tees, or valves
- Install away from sources of vibration
- Ensure proper grounding to prevent interference
- For vertical installation, ensure upward flow direction
- Avoid locations with air entrapment or negative pressure
