The fluids used in semi-conductor poses challenge in flow measurement owing to abrasive, adherent, corrosive, and ultra-pure nature of liquids which are used.
The principle used by most of flow meters make them unsuitable for measuring liquid flow in semi-conductor industry which requires safe, stable and high-quality production line.
Wafer and printed circuit board production are two most important processes in semi-production line and in both, cases it is crucial to monitor the flow of the cleaning solution with high accuracy. A wrong flow dose may make wafer defective incurring a huge loss to the used inventory. A precise flow measurement hence becomes crucial and decisive.
One of our client was incurring high production cost owing wastage of etching ink , acid and waste water disposal all part of semi circuit board manufacturing process . We provided solution using our clamp on meter (both stationary and portable type) thereby reducing their production cost by 5 %
The other benefit was that we were able to hook our flow meters to customer elastomer line (PFA, PTFE ) of sizes ( 1 “& less ) which would not have been possible using other type of meters.
Clamp on flow meter also gave advantage to the customer by measuring fluids flows having different viscosity, density, color, and electromagnetic properties with ease.
